Please, take a moment to contact the Salvation Army. Voice your feelings on their recent tactic to prevent the USA Western Territory/Division from offering gay, lesbian and unmarried partners of employees equal benefits. Soon after the Western Division announced they would establish a new policy of equality in benefits for all their employees, which would have included gay, lesbian and unmarried straight partners of employees. Anti-gay right evangelical Christian organizations, flooded Sally Anne with bigoted anti-gay rights message of protest. Yielding to the religious rights will, Commissioner's subrogated the rights of their territories-divisions, by quickly establishing a national policy that limits health benefit access to an employee's spouse and dependent children only. This is an outrageous violation of local chapter's right's to create equality in access to health care benefits. Tell them you will not support discrimination in any form. |
