Dear TBC Members, Supports & Friends
To many of you members, supporters and friends, it is quite contrary for Tampa Bay Coalition to ask you to actually remain silent. The one request that has remained a constant with TBC, was that we must not remain silent , we must have our voices heard when we speak out against discrimination and harassment. However, after researching the material available on the Day of Silence Project, in this one instance and on this one day, TBC rescinds our policy on speaking out and having your our voices heard. I believe that this project is deserving of our members, supporters and friends, strong support, promotion and active participation.
Tampa Bay Coalition is a proud Day of Silence Project Organizational Endorser and to join with GLSEN, USSA and the other Local, State and Regional Organizations in their efforts to organize local community participation.
We ask, that you take a stand against LGBT discrimination and harassment and to join in our efforts to organize local participation here in Tampa or in your community. We will be posting additional details and information on how you can get involved. TBC will also post this information in this section of our website. Please Contact us with your any suggestions, questions, comments, offers to help or requests on how you can get actively involved in the "Day of Silence Project".
