Bows Far Right Will, Rescinds Plan DPB's To be Very Costly to
Them
November
15: The decision by the
Western Division of Salvation Army to offer DPB's employees was warmly greeted
by GLBT's. An Outraged American Family Association, issues
action alerts
to flood the National Salvation Army's with email messages. Adopted National
Policy that prevents chapter from granting DPB's to anyone except the employee's
spouses and or dependent children. Thus, yielding to the will of the bigoted
anti-gay evangelical Christians. They may find this move to be much more costly
move than they could have imagined. Now, TBC's Action Alerts
and the call by other pro-gay rights organizations to flood the Salvation Army
with messages of protest. Going one step further, following the lead of
PFLAG, Flint Michigan, TBC also suggests we donations and drop a
note
of protest into their kettles, expressing your donation of $ 10. will not be
forth coming as usual. The reason being their discriminatory practices against
gay, lesbian and the unmarried partners of employees on one side. On the others
side of your note, express your belief in equality in the workplace, they
reconsider their policy of discrimination. We applaud PFLAG's great idea of
protest money to be placed in donation kettles of bell ringers. TBC's Salvation

information you can use for your phone, fax, snail and email messages of protest
and a link to the Cleveland Anti Racist Action's unique "Queer Dollars". Created
three dollar bills designed to be dorpped into the kettles instead of those real

Orders "No Domestic Partner Benefits"

13: TBC reported Nov. 3, the
announcement made by the Western Division of Salvation Army that they would
provide partner benefits to it's employees in the 13 states in western U.S.
Salvation Army. Commissioners made a move prevents that same-sex domestic
partners benefits from extending to employees. Salvation Army's Commissioners
have established a national policy
extends health benefit only to spouse and dependent children of employees. The
Western Division's Nov 3rd. Announcement. to offer
same-sex employees D.P.B. to gay partners of employees.
