On, November 17, 2001, Aaron Webster's, battered body found near the Bridle Path in Stanley
Park. Aaron was hit repeatedly in the head and upper body with what police say was a pool
cue or baseball bat by at least three to four men. Prosecutors will charge those responsible with
 killing Aaron under Canada's hate crimes law, this will add years to their sentences. Aaron's best
friend, Tim Chisholm, tragically, found Aaron near death at the side of road and he died in
Chisholm's arms. The brutal killing of Aaron Webster shocked the city and traumatized the gay

Teen Pleads Guilty to Deadly Gay-Bashing
July 30, 2003: A 19-year-old suburban Burnaby man has pleaded guilty to the two-year-old
killing of a gay man in Stanley Park. The teen, who can't be named under the Young Offenders
Act, pleaded guilty to manslaughter on Wednesday and will be sentenced in youth court. He
was 17 at the time of the attack.

Feb 20: A 19 year old man, who was 17 at the time of the murder, who is charged with manslaughter
in the 2001 murder of Aaron Webster, was granted bail by a Vancouver court.

Tips Lead to List of Suspects in Aaron Webster Murder
December 14: Vancouver Police received new valuable information from "two anonymous tipsters" in the slaying of the gay man and have identified a group of suspects.Aaron Webster's beaten body was found naked, except for hiking boots, in Stanley Park on Nov. 17. Detective Trowski said, "We now have specific names of individuals that may be responsible."
 
Man Comes Forward Also Attacked in Stanley Park.
December 13: What may be the break in the savage beating and murder of Aaron Webster. Vancouver police are hopeful the man attacked at the park may supply description of the murder suspects. A man came forward and told the Vancouver Sun, a few weeks before the beating death of a gay man in Stanley Park, he survived just such an attack. The details of the men who attacked him has many of the same similarities as in those who attacked and killed Webster. Edward Smith said he had seen the men had prowling the park, "looking to hurt some people" for the past year. Police plan to question him later this week. Hunt For Aaron's Killers Grows Cold
Dec 03: Vancouver Police are no closer to finding the murderer of the popular 41 year old man. Police say Aaron Webster's killer may never be found. Unless one of the murderer's accomplices comes forward the only way they will catch the killer is if he strikes again.
 
Few Clues In Hate-Crime Killing In Stanley Park in Vancouver
Nov 20:The battered body of 41 year old Aaron Webster found near the Bridle Path in Stanley park. Police said they are treating the killing as a hate-crime, saying Webster was hit repeatedly in the head and upper body with what police say was a pool cue or baseball bat by at least three to four men. Four witnesses have come forward, but, only two actually saw the killers. Tim Chisholm, Webster's best friend, tragically, found him lying near death at the side of road. Chisholm had told the police, he spent a few of hours with Webster at the Dufferin Pub bar on Friday. He also said he no idea his friend was heading to the park, he drove to Stanley Park to watch the meteor shower Saturday, discovered Webster lying unconscious on the side of the road and died in Chisholm's arms.

Vancouver Killers 'Likely Serial Gay Bashers'
Nov 22: Inspector David Jones said, "People don't just go out and commit a crime. There likely has been a pattern of behavior," said Inspector David Jones. Adding, "They didn't just do it once," Jones attended a vigil for Webster and assured a nervous gay community that  his department is committed to finding killers.
