FLAA PRESENTS AN EVENING IN ASIA: YOUR PASSPORT TO ADVENTURE

Tampa, FL - Step into the exotic as Florida AIDS Action (FLAA) presents the agency's second annual formal fundraiser, An Evening In Asia: Your Passport to Adventure, on Sunday, June 22, 2003, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Profusion, International Plaza, Tampa.

Delve into the Asian atmosphere of Profusion, complete with live entertainment, tantalizing 'East Meets West' cuisine and exotic prizes, during a unique event designed to raise HIV/AIDS awareness and funds for Florida's only statewide nonprofit AIDS organization - Florida AIDS Action.

"It's exciting to be working with Profusion again to create an event as distinguished as An Evening In Asia," notes FLAA Executive Director Dr. Gene Copello. "The establishment's fine food and quality service left a favorable impression last year and is just what FLAA needs to ensure the success of this event to benefit the 100,000 men women and children in Florida living with HIV/AIDS."

An Evening In Asia: Your Passport to Adventure is the second annual spring fundraiser for Florida AIDS Action. The evening features:
· Open bar and appetizers (5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.)
· Live entertainment and dinner (6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
· Dessert and a brief presentation on Florida AIDS Action, the AIDS epidemic and how individuals can take an active role in fighting AIDS (7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)

According to FLAA Board Member and Event Chair Robin Kurtzman, "This event is the perfect blend of entertainment and education." She continues, "We want people to have a great time and forget about their cares for a while, but we also want to make sure they walk away with current knowledge about AIDS and ways that they can impact this deadly epidemic."

Sponsorships for this event are available. Sponsorship levels range from the $100 Ch'i level to the $20,000 Wood/title sponsor level.
