EVENING IN ASIA FUNDRAISER RECEIVES STATEWIDE SUPPORT
Tampa, FL - Florida AIDS Action and The AIDS Memorial Park are
pleased to announce that more than a dozen organizations from across Florida
have joined in the effort to present An Evening in Asia, Sunday, June 2,
2002.
"This exciting event not only helps generate funds to continue
vital programs and services, but allows us to introduce new individuals to the
work we do and draw attention to the fact that AIDS is far from over," explains
FLAA Executive Director Dr. Gene Copello. "Large and small corporations alike
have responded. The event is taking shape and we are beginning to see how many
individuals, companies, and agencies in Florida understand the vital role we all
play in assisting the 95,000 Floridians living with HIV disease as well as the
vital role of prevention education."
An Evening in Asia takes place on
Sunday, June 2, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Profusion, a chic Asian restaurant in
Tampa's new International Plaza. Guests will enjoy an exotic evening filled with
fine dinning, entertainment and a brief program, all in an effort to raise
HIV/AIDS awareness and funds.
More than 200 concerned citizens from
across Florida and the United States are expected to attend the affair supported
by some of Florida's leading corporations and agencies:

Tickets are $200 per person and $350
