Humanists of Florida Association
Conference
Dear R Zeke:
By now, you should have received a
purple brochure with information about the upcoming annual Humanists of Florida
Association conference. This will be a very exciting conference and I look
forward to seeing you there. But first, a quick important reminder about
the hotel. If you are coming from out of town and are planning to
come to the Humanists of Florida Association conference in June (June 7
-9th 2002), please be aware that the block of rooms that were reserved for us at
the Wingate Inn on Fowler in Tampa (site of the conference) are only being held
until May 7th.
That means that after Tuesday a room is not guaranteed -
although you can still receive the same rate if they have a room
available. So, here is the information you need in order to make your
reservations. I recommend that you call and make reservations
today. Then, fill out and return the conference registration form to
me.
The hotel is called the Wingate Inn. It is located on 3751 E. Fowler
Avenue. The local telephone number is 813-979-2828. Long distance can be reached
by calling 800-228-1000. Anyone seeking to make a room reservation should say it
is for the Humanists of Florida Conference. The rate is $65.00 per night and
breakfast is included. There will be a block of rooms held until May 7. After
this date the price will remain the same, but rooms at the Wingate Inn cannot be
guaranteed. If possible people should try to reserve a room by May 7 if not
sooner since cancellation is permitted up to 4:00pm the date of arrival. In
effect, there is nothing to lose by making a reservation early.
