Coalition to Rally in Dallas

Action Alert -- GLBT workplace equality is under attack in Texas!

On May 29, 2002, ExxonMobil Corp. will hold its annual shareholder meeting at Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas.

Coalition partners and members will be in Dallas for two days of activities, and we invite each and every member to support the rally and events we are planning:

Rally for Equality
When: Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Reverchon Park in Dallas' Oaklawn neighborhood
Why: Supporters of equality should refuse to fuel discrimination. ExxonMobil is the only company ever to simultaneously close a domestic partner benefits program to new employees and strike sexual orientation from its written equal employment opportunity policy. Let ExxonMobil know that if they want to set up house in our neighborhoods and take our dollars, they must reinstate fair and equitable policies. Strong participation in Dallas is needed for this national protest effort.

ExxonMobil Annual Shareholder Meeting Protest
When: Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at 9:00 a.m.
Where: Outside the Meyerson Symphony Hall in downtown Dallas
Why: Show support for the shareholder resolution submitted for the fourth consecutive year, calling on ExxonMobil to amend its EEO policy to include sexual orientation.

For the fourth year in a row, a shareholder resolution will appear on ExxonMobil's ballot calling for sexual orientation to be included in the company's written non-discrimination policy. As you may recall, Exxon
refused to adopt Mobil's non-discrimination policy when the two companies merged.

For the fourth year in a row, ExxonMobil Chairman Lee Raymond has advised shareholders to vote against this resolution and the adoption of fair and equal workplace policies.

The Coalition to Promote Equality is working to make ExxonMobil adopt a written non-discrimination policy. We need your support. We need your voice. We need your passion!
