by Eddie Ratliff.
Eddie, executive director of Roanoke7, share his view on Attorney General John Ashcroft invoking the federal hate crimes statute for the first time in a case involving the murder of gay victims. And in Virginia, where the most horrific hate crime ever commited against people because of their sexual orientation, brutally murdering someone because of his or her sexual orientation is not considered a hate crime.
We share in the loss of Danny Overstreet with his dear mother Ann, his family, loved ones and friends. They all remain in our thoughts and our prayers.
